- Communications: WhatsApp messages, emails, or chat exchanges you initiate with our team.

- Marketing preferences: Whether you’ve opted into our newsletter or member updates.
2. How we use your information
- To process and confirm your booking, including coordinating with our partners (Lodgify, Stripe / Telr, Airbnb, Booking.com).
- To communicate with you about your stay (check-in, support, follow-up).
- To comply with UAE Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) reporting obligations for licensed holiday-home operators.
- To send occasional updates about Casa Duna offers if you have opted in.
- To improve our website and services.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Booking platform partners (Lodgify, Airbnb, Booking.com) where you booked through them.
- Payment processors (Stripe, Telr) for transaction processing.
- UAE government bodies (DCT, Ministry of Interior) where legally required.
- Our hosting and email providers (Hostinger, Google Workspace).
4. Data retention
We retain booking records for 7 years to comply with UAE tax and DCT regulations. Marketing-list data is retained until you unsubscribe.

Under UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of your personal data we hold
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion (where legally possible)
